SGI Home Internet Connectivity Planning

The Capital Regional District (CRD) is consulting with the communities of the Southern Gulf Islands (SGI) Electoral Area (Galiano, Mayne, Pender and Saturna islands) about ways to improve broadband connectivity.

Your input in this anonymous survey will help identify how residents use the internet, gaps in current connectivity service on your island and in the region, and how potential connectivity improvements might support the region's goals of sustainable economic development, community health, and resilience.

While this project is focused on planning for broadband internet, the survey also includes questions about cell service so we will have a more complete picture of how the islands are connected.

For more information about this project, please visit www.crd.bc.ca/sgiconnect.

Please do not provide any information that could identify yourself or others in your responses. No individuals will be identified and no comments will be attributed to any individual in any reports or communications resulting from your input.

Please provide answers based on your personal, residential internet use. Only one survey per household is requested.

Please complete this survey only if you live in the Southern Gulf Islands on a full-time or part-time basis.

If you are a resident and also own or operate a business or organization, please complete both this survey and the business sector survey.
